Study Spaces

In keeping with current Covid regulations, we are pleased to announce that study spaces in allocated classrooms on campus are now available to be pre-booked for individual study.

All registered MIC staff and students can avail of this service.

Please read this page carefully. It contains essential information on how to book a seat and the terms and conditions of use.

Booking a Seat

  1. Click here to make your booking.
  2. Select Reserve to make a new reservation.
  3. Click Select Category and choose the room you would like to study in (the Rooms available are all in the Tara Building – T314, T213 and T201 & Tailteann - Tn1 & Tn2).
  4. Click Show Availability.
  5. Select Go to Date to choose the date that suits you.
  6. Choose a time slot next to the seat you would like to book (only some seats have electrical sockets).
  7. Select Submit Times at the end of the page.
  8. Enter your name and MIC credentials (ID number and MIC email address).
  9. Click Submit my Booking at the bottom of the form.
  10. You will receive an email confirming your booking. 
  11. Please have this email with you when you come on campus.

Terms & Conditions of Use

  • Only MIC registered students and staff can book seats.
  • Please bring your MIC ID card and confirmation email when you come on campus.
  • There are 4 booking slots: 9am - 1pm and 2pm - 5pm in Tara Building and 11am - 3pm and 4pm - 7pm in Tailteann Building.
  • You must check in when you arrive at the booked seat, by scanning the QR code or using the URL link posted at the space. You will receive a check-in code in the confirmation email you receive at the booking stage. If you do not check in within 30 minutes of the booking start time, your booking is automatically cancelled. If you fail to check-in or cancel 3 or more bookings, in the space of a week, you will not be able to book the following week.
  • Cancel your booking if you know you will not make it in, to allow other patrons the chance to book. The cancellation link is in the same confirmation email.
  • Face coverings must be worn at all times.
  • Students should go directly to their pre-booked study space and leave the building when finished. Please maintain social distancing at all times.
  • Please adhere to the MIC Student Campus Safety Protocol
  • In the case that a student presents with Covid-19 symptoms while on campus, contact the Isolation Manager at 086 0664917
  • Please sit in your booked seat and do not move furniture for any reason.
  • Please clean down your study area before and after use with the cleaning materials provided.
  • As only some of the seats have electrical sockets, it is recommended that devices are fully charged before coming on campus.
  • No eating or drinking in the study rooms.
  • Please cooperate with cleaning staff if they ask you to move your belongings.
  • Take all your belongings with you when vacating the seat.
  • Students should either checkin or cancel bookings; in order to maximise attendance, students who fail to checkin or cancel 3 bookings in one week will not be able to book space the following week.
