Use the Catalogue to search for books

When you search note the following:

• Location: Is the book in Limerick or Thurles? In some cases we have the same book in both campuses so make sure to check
• Shelfmark: This is the Dewey number and three letters to help you find the book on the shelf
• Status: Is the book Available or on loan? Remember if a book is on loan, you can reserve it using your library account

Books that are in high demand are located in the 4 Hour Loan Collection which is behind the library desk. Ask a staff member for the book you want.

You can borrow two 4 hour loan books at a time.

You can find Ebooks using the catalogue. When you click on the book you want, a link will take you directly to the ebook:

The Irish books are located in the 891 section. They are also colour coded. Check the placeholders at the end of each shelf for a comprehensive guide.
