MIC offers a professional counselling service available to students to help you as you progress through College life. The service is free and is available to all undergraduate and postgraduate students of Mary Immaculate College.

Medical service

The Medical Centre is located in Room T307 on the third floor of the TARA building and opening hours are 10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm, Monday to Friday - +353 61 204343. 

Out of hours: contact Shannon Doc on 1850 212999.

Students who need urgent medical attention should proceed to the A&E Department at University Hospital Limerick which is open 24 hours; contact +353 61 301111. Alternatively, St John’s Hospital opens 8am-6pm, Monday-Friday each week; contact +353 61 462222.

In an emergency, call 999 or 112.

Student Parent Support Service

The SPSS is based in T307 (within the Medical Centre). Call +353 61 204347 or text ‘APPOINTMENT’ to 087-9501160.

Health promotion Unit

Healthy Campus MIC provides many resources on health to both staff and students through awareness days, programs and workshops during the year. A confidential one-to-one support and advice on lifestyle change is also provided.

The Healthy Campus Office is located in G06, situated on the ground floor of the Foundation Building.

Opening hours are 9.30am - 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday.

As well as the Health Promotion Coordinator, there is also a Student Health Promotion Officer based in this office.
