IRISH WOMEN WRITERS

I gcomhar le Lá Idirnáisiúnta na mBan agus ‘Athena Swan’ CMgS, tá Campas Durlas CMgS ag tabhairt ardáin do bhan-scríbhneoirí na hÉireann. Tá bailiúchán filíochta, próis, drámaíochta, agus léirmheastóireachta Gaeilge sa leabharlann atá ag fás de shíor, le breis is 150 teideal againn atá scríofa agus curtha in eagar ag mná. Is gá an méid atá déanta acu chun cur le canóin litríocht na Gaeilge a cheiliúradh. Tá roinnt de na leabhair atá ar fáil sa leabharlann luaite sa treoir seo. Tá súil againn go mbainfidh tú taitneamh as iad a iniúchadh agus roinnt ‘seoda’ nua a aimsiú ar an mbealach.

In conjunction with International Women's Day and MIC Athena Swan, MIC St Patrick's Campus Thurles is showcasing Irish Women writers. The library has a growing collection of Irish language poetry, prose, drama, and literary criticism and we have over 150 titles written and edited by women. Their contributions to the canon of Irish language literature is to be celebrated. This guide features just some of the titles available in the Thurles library. We hope you enjoy exploring them and discovering some new gems along the way.
