Maths Week is here!
Maths Week Ireland is a country-wide initiative, from the 12th to the 20th of October. It promotes positive attitudes towards maths and highlighting the importance of maths in everyone's lives. This annual festival is a collaborative partnership of organisations including universities, schools, professional bodies, and more.
Maths weeks is celebrating it's twentieth year anniversary. Over this course, the total participation is recorded to be over five million people across the country. In 2024, 500,249 students from 2,702 schools took part, while over 20,000 members of the public enjoyed activities like Maths in the City and Puzzles in the Park. The numbers are expected to continue growing as Maths week remains in schools and the public sphere.
